The benefits of sport and physical activity to individuals and communities are universally recognised. It has also been recognised as an individual tool for tackling many issues, such as health, education and social inclusion, and that investing in coaching & coach education is critical to support this.
Get Coaching Cornwall is managed and funded by Cornwall Sports Partnership and forms a key part of our Coaching Development function. It is one of a number of services provided by the partnership which include managing the Community Sports Coaches Scheme, through accredited and non accredited training, raising professional standards for coaches and coaching and sign-posting coaches to other professional development opportunities, providing information on how they can fund these opportunities.
Its brief is to create an online recruitment, employment and deployment tool for coaches that operates inside the existing "delivery system for sport" and within the parameters of the UK Coaching Framework.
