Why should I register on Get Coaching Cornwall?


Registering on Get Coaching Cornwall will enable you at access a 'one stop shop' for information on coaching, right across Cornwall.

It will enable you to:

  • Access information about coaching bursaries and grants that are available
  • Increase your links into your CSP/NGB/local authority
  • Help us map the current coaching being done in Cornwall
  • Gain access to information about coaching opportunities in Cornwall

How do I access the benefits on offer from Get Coaching Cornwall?


Complete the comprehensive online application form. Once completed you will then be part of Get Coaching Cornwall and helping us provide a better coaching support structure.

Is there any age restriction for registering with Get Coaching Cornwall?


Yes, due to regulations Get Coaching Cornwall will only be inviting people over 16 to apply and join. There is no upper age limit for joining and we welcome people from a wide range of sports, ages and backgrounds.

What is Get Coaching Cornwall?


Get Coaching Cornwall brief is to create an online based coaching system to handle the recruitment, employment and deployment of coaches within the partnership, and in doing so create a career path to help professionalise coaching and increase the quality of the coaching delivered in Cornwall

For Recruiters (Employers/Placement providers)

What are the benefits available to my company from registering with Get Coaching Cornwall?


The potential benefits from a recruiter (employer/placement provider) joining the agency:

It will enable you to:

  • Access to quality sports coaches
  • You will have the opportunity of viewing profiles and CV's from a number of coaches (if available)
  • You will be able to provide feedback about the coach online
  • You will be informing the partnership of the types of coaches required in Cornwall so it can coordinate the right training and development for coaches
Aside from offering suitably qualified coaches, what other services do you provide?


We can provide newsletters to keep your organisations knowledge up to speed with all the latest developments in the Coaching and Sports Development fields. We can provide training opportunities for coaches already working in your organisations. We also can give help and advice of where to look for coaches, and the types of sessions that we have the highest number of coaches in and would be able to supply to you quickly.

What will it cost to register with Get Coaching Cornwall?


NOTHING!!!

What will Get Coaching Cornwall require before/during/after a coaching session?


Get Coaching Cornwall will require a Recruiter to have a completed application form on the website (including addresses and key contact information of all sites) before a coach can be placed. After the session we require someone who observed the session to complete an evaluation on the coach online, which will provide us with valuable feedback.

N.B. The coach will also be asked to provide an evaluation on their recruiter, which will allow a good employer to build up a portfolio of positive comments, which will attract good quality coaches to work there.
